The Abrivia Salary Survey 2018 asked employees who were not living in Dublin what salary increase it would take them to move to Dublin. An astounding 20% of the Accounting profession said they would not consider a move to Dublin, regardless of salary. Apart from the consulting sector (21%), the Accounting sector represented the sector with the most employees who point blank refused to consider a move to Dublin.
On the other end of the scale, the sectors who are most favourable towards a Dublin move, giving certain salary conditions are the HR, Legal, Sales Marketing, Education and Pharmaceutical sectors. Interestingly, 90% of ICT Employees would consider a move to Dublin, with the majority requiring a salary increase of more than 21% to consider a move to Dublin. Recruiters who specialise in Accounting need to look at new and innovative ways to make Dublin more attractive to candidates, whereas in the technology sector, money talks!
