Job Title: Senior Data Analyst-Insurance
Location: South Dublin
Working Model: Hybrid (2 Days a week in office)
Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Senior Data Analyst-Insurance to join our client, a growing MGA operating within the Irish personal lines market.
This is a senior-level data position within a business that has expanded significantly in recent years across both product offering and broker distribution. The role will play a key part in helping shape the company’s wider data environment, with a strong focus on improving data structure, accessibility and usability across the business.
The successful candidate will work closely with pricing, underwriting and operational teams while helping build a scalable and commercially focused data architecture within a highly data-driven environment.
Your Role
- Support the design and development of the wider data architecture across the business
- Improve the structure, organisation and accessibility of existing insurance datasets
- Work closely with Pricing to ensure data is clean, structured and usable within Radar and wider pricing systems
- Develop user-friendly reporting solutions for non-technical stakeholders
- Analyse underwriting, quotations, claims and policy data to support business decision-making
- Handle ad hoc analytical queries and provide clear commercial insight to internal stakeholders
- Support ongoing improvements in data governance and reporting standards
- Work across multiple business areas including underwriting, claims and pricing
- Use SQL, Python and Power BI to manage, analyse and present data effectively
- Help shape the long-term reporting and data environment as the business continues to grow
Your Skills
- Strong insurance industry experience, ideally within Personal Lines
- Excellent understanding of insurance datasets including claims, quotations and policy data
- Strong SQL and Python capability
- Experience working with Power BI and large operational datasets
- Strong understanding of data structures, reporting environments and data governance principles
- Experience improving or restructuring data environments would be highly advantageous
- Commercially aware with the ability to interpret and explain data clearly
- Comfortable operating independently within a growing and evolving business
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
