The annual National Recruitment Federation awards were held in the Shelbourne Hotel on Friday evening the 29th of November.  A record number of delegates attended the Gala event.

These awards are the only industry-specific awards ceremony of its kind and the initiative is designed to identify and reward excellence in recruitment in Ireland. This is the main calendar event for the industry where agencies come out to celebrate its “stars” of the year gone by. The awards were open to all NRF member agencies and were judged by an independent panel comprising of Tony Lambert, CEO Fingal Dublin Chamber of Commerce, Dermot Rice the MD of Priority Management and Kate Shoesmith the Head of Policy for the Recruitment Employment Confederation (REC) UK.

We had a fantastic night at the awards. We had entered five categories in total. We are delighted to announce that Abrivia Recruitment won two out of the three most prestigious awards on the night and we also got shortlisted in three other categories. The awards that we won were:

1. Recruitment Company of the Year (Small)
AND
2. Recruitment Consultant of the Year – Robert Connolly (Legal & Compliance Manager)
The other three awards that we were shortlisted for on the night were as follows:

Best in practice – Accountancy & Finance
Best in Specialism – Human Resources
Best Online/Website

This exceeded all of our expectations given that this was just our second time to enter the awards.

A huge congratulations to Robert Connolly for winning the Recruitment Consultant of the Year Award. This was a hugely contested category. Robert is the Business Unit Manager of our Legal & Compliance desk and has built an enviable record as one of the strongest recruitment professionals in that market. Over the years he has developed strong relationships with the top tier law firms, many of the large financial services companies and leading multinationals in Ireland.
Abrivia Recruitment has been growing in terms of headcount growth by over 40% year on year despite a challenging economic market. We have also boasted a 100% retention rate on employees coming into the business over a four year period. We are also committed to the training and development of our people in the business. All that said we would like to think the single biggest reason for our award is our people!

Can I say a huge thank you to all the team in Abrivia. Can I also thank the judges and all the team at the NRF for organising another excellent event.
