Job Title: Claims Team Lead

Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Claims Team Lead to join our client within the insurance sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced claims professional looking to take the next step into leadership, or for an existing team lead seeking broader responsibility within a growing organisation.
Working as part of a fast-paced claims operation, the successful candidate will oversee a team of claims professionals while maintaining strong technical involvement in the claims process. The role offers a blend of people management, operational oversight, performance improvement, and technical claims exposure.
Your Role
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of claims professionals to achieve operational and service objectives.
- Monitor team performance across productivity, quality, and customer outcomes.
- Manage workflow allocation and resource planning to ensure service levels are maintained.
- Conduct quality reviews and provide coaching to support ongoing development.
- Maintain oversight of claims activity, identifying and escalating risks where appropriate.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Retain involvement in technical claims handling to support the team and maintain technical expertise.
Your Skills
- Previous claims handling experience within Gadget, Warranty or consumer electronics within an insurance environment.
- Prior team leadership, mentoring, coaching, or supervisory experience is desirable.
- Strong understanding of claims processes and operational performance management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable using reporting, metrics, and data to support decision-making.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ambitious, proactive, and motivated to develop within a leadership role.
