Financial Accountant – Insurance

Location: South Dublin (Hybrid)

Our client, an established insurance organisation, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their Dublin-based finance team. This is a key hire within the reporting function, offering exposure across financial and regulatory reporting, along with ongoing finance transformation activity.

This position will support the preparation and delivery of monthly, regulatory, and statutory reporting, while working closely with teams across the business. The role offers a broad scope, combining core financial accounting with involvement in systems, data, and process improvement initiatives.

Your Role

  • Preparation and review of monthly management accounts and group reporting
  • Support regulatory and statutory reporting requirements
  • Analysis of financial data, including variance and trend analysis
  • Coordination of audit processes and engagement with external auditors
  • Review and reconciliation of data across multiple systems and ledgers
  • Involvement in financial systems and process improvement initiatives
  • Support budgeting and planning cycles
  • Preparation of reports and presentations for senior stakeholders

Your Skills

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
  • Experience within an insurance or financial services environment
  • Exposure to IFRS17 and/or Solvency II reporting
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets
  • Experience working with financial systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle or similar)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
