A market-leading mobility and fleet solutions business is seeking an experienced Head of New Business to lead and develop a high-performing commercial team focused on SME and corporate fleet growth across Ireland.
This is a senior commercial role with a strong blend of people management and hands-on business development responsibility. The successful candidate will lead a team of five while also driving their own pipeline, building senior-level relationships, and securing long-term commercial opportunities.
This opportunity would suit a commercially driven sales leader with experience managing complex B2B sales cycles, developing strategic partnerships, and engaging confidently with senior decision-makers.
Please note:
The successful candidate will spend more time onsite during the initial onboarding and training period before moving into a more typical hybrid working arrangement.
The Role
- Lead, coach and develop a team focused on new business acquisition and customer retention.
- Drive growth across SME and corporate fleet leasing solutions.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of medium and long-term opportunities.
- Generate leads through networking, outbound activity, LinkedIn campaigns, presentations and industry events.
- Manage strategic sales cycles and nurture opportunities over extended timeframes.
- Engage directly with senior stakeholders including CEOs and business owners.
- Support and oversee tender processes and strategic commercial proposals.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Maintain strong CRM discipline and reporting across the sales function.
- Contribute strategically to the continued growth of the wider commercial division.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior B2B business development or sales leadership role.
- Strong track record managing consultative and corporate sales cycles.
- Experience leading and motivating high-performing sales teams.
- Commercially sharp, proactive and highly organised.
- Comfortable developing business through networking, prospecting and relationship building.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence at senior level.
- Experience within leasing, automotive, financial services or a related commercial environment would be advantageous.
- Experience managing tenders or formal procurement processes would be beneficial.
