Job Title: Project Accountant
Location: South Dublin
Working Model: Hybrid – 3 days in the office

Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Project Accountant to join our client, a leading insurance business based in South Dublin

This is a permanent position within the Finance team and has arisen following the promotion of the previous Project Accountant. The role will support a range of finance projects and transformation initiatives while also providing support across financial and regulatory reporting.

Your Role

  • Support finance transformation projects and wider business initiatives
  • Review existing finance processes, controls and procedures and identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare management reports for senior members of the Finance team
  • Support month-end, financial and regulatory reporting during key reporting periods
  • Work with stakeholders across the wider international group on finance-related projects
  • Assist with planning, audit and review processes
  • Support the implementation and improvement of finance systems and reporting tools
  • Provide additional support across the Finance function as required

Your Skills

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ PQE
  • Previous accounting experience within the insurance sector
  • Strong experience in month-end reporting and financial reporting
  • Solvency II and IFRS 17 experience would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Strong Excel skills with experience using reporting or data visualisation tools
  • Good understanding of financial controls and accounting processes
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
  • Confident communicator who can work effectively with finance and wider business stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a role that combines reporting responsibilities with project-based work
