Job Title: Property Claims Handler

Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Property Claims Handler to join our client within the insurance sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced claims professional looking to take ownership of a varied property claims portfolio while working within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will manage claims from initial notification through to settlement, working closely with customers and key stakeholders to deliver fair and efficient outcomes. This role offers strong technical exposure and would suit someone looking to further develop their property claims expertise within a growing organisation.
Your Role
- Manage a portfolio of property claims from first notification through to settlement.
- Review policy coverage and claim circumstances to support accurate claim decisions.
- Assess liability, establish reserves, and manage claims within delegated authority limits.
- Liaise with customers, contractors, loss adjusters, and other stakeholders throughout the claims process.
- Ensure claim files are maintained accurately and in line with regulatory and company standards.
- Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate concerns where appropriate.
- Support operational improvements and contribute to enhancing claims processes and customer outcomes.
Your Skills
- Minimum three years’ experience handling property claims within a general insurance environment.
- Experience across residential, commercial, contents, or buildings claims is desirable.
- Strong understanding of claims handling processes, policy coverage, and settlement practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational ability with the capacity to manage a varied workload independently.
- Good analytical and decision-making capability.
- Motivated, proactive, and comfortable working remotely.
