Job Title: Reinsurance Accounts – Team Lead
Location: Dublin City Centre
Working Model: Hybrid (2 Days in Office)
We are seeking a Reinsurance Accounts Team Lead to support and guide a team of analysts within a busy Finance function. The position combines leadership responsibilities with a technical reinsurance focus, offering an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in accounts who enjoys working in a detail-driven environment.
The successful candidate will be either a qualified accountant with PQE or an experienced technical reinsurance specialist.
Your Role:
- Provide oversight and guidance to four Reinsurance Accounts Analysts, reviewing their work and resolving technical queries.
- Partner with the Accounts Manager to complete month-end and quarter-end close activities.
- Ensure cedant accounts and settlements are processed accurately and in full compliance with internal standards.
- Deliver reconciliations and contribute to management reporting.
- Work with compliance, actuarial, and underwriting colleagues on reporting matters.
- Assist with audit processes and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and other planning processes.
Your Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE in insurance/reinsurance or audit of same,
- OR at least 6 years’ technical reinsurance accounts experience if not qualified.
- Previous experience supporting or mentoring junior staff.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve complex accounting issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.
- Advanced Excel and familiarity with accounting/reporting systems.
