Job Title: Reinsurance Manager

Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Reinsurance Manager to join our client in a senior, hands-on reinsurance role. This position offers responsibility across the full reinsurance lifecycle and will suit an experienced professional who enjoys operating in a lean team environment with high levels of ownership and accountability.
Your Role
- Take ownership of the end-to-end reinsurance function, including placement, underwriting support, accounting, returns and oversight activities
- Act as a key point of contact for reinsurance brokers and reinsurers, managing ongoing relationships and engagement
- Oversee reinsurance-related governance, compliance and reporting requirements
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure reinsurance arrangements align with the organisation’s risk profile
- Provide technical input on reinsurance structures, renewals and market engagement
- Support internal initiatives, reviews and process improvements relating to reinsurance
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of reinsurance information across the business
- Operate effectively within a small team structure, balancing strategic input with hands-on delivery
Your Skills
- Strong reinsurance experience, ideally from an underwriting, purchasing or reinsurance-focused role
- Solid understanding of non-life reinsurance, with flexibility around background and career path
- Ability to manage the full reinsurance process independently in a small team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
- Comfortable balancing technical detail with broader oversight and responsibility
- Insurance qualification is desirable
- High level of professionalism, sound judgement and a collaborative approach
