Senior Manager – Indirect Procurement

Location: Munster
Hybrid: 2 days per week in the office
Salary: €90,000 – €120,000 + benefits

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Manager Indirect Procurement to join the global procurement organisation of a leading technology company based in Munster.

This is a high-impact role within an evolving procurement function, offering the opportunity to play a key part in strengthening procurement capability, driving commercial value and transforming how the organisation manages its strategic technology and indirect spend.

The successful candidate will partner closely with senior stakeholders across Technology, Marketing, Finance and other business functions, taking ownership of strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations and commercial relationships across a significant indirect spend portfolio.

The organisation is currently undergoing a period of procurement transformation, with a strong focus on strengthening processes, governance, controls and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities across IT and broader indirect spend categories.
  • Develop and execute category strategies that deliver measurable commercial value, cost optimisation and risk mitigation.
  • Lead complex, high-value negotiations with strategic technology and professional services suppliers.
  • Manage and develop key supplier relationships, ensuring strong commercial outcomes and appropriate contractual governance.
  • Partner closely with Technology and IT stakeholders on major transformation programmes and strategic technology investments.
  • Support procurement across complex technology environments, including major enterprise platforms and applications.
  • Identify and address opportunities for spend optimisation, supplier consolidation and process improvement.
  • Strengthen procurement governance, controls and compliance across indirect spend.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to increase procurement engagement and reduce maverick or unmanaged spend.
  • Lead competitive tenders, RFPs and supplier evaluations, supported where appropriate by external procurement partners.
  • Use market intelligence, benchmarking and data to inform sourcing and negotiation strategies.
  • Contribute to the continued development and transformation of the wider procurement function.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Indirect Procurement professional with a strong background in IT/Technology procurement and a proven track record of delivering complex sourcing and negotiation programmes.

You will ideally bring:

  • Significant experience in strategic indirect procurement, ideally with a strong IT/Technology category background.
  • Proven experience negotiating complex, high-value technology and professional services agreements.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience managing strategic suppliers and complex contractual relationships.
  • A track record of delivering procurement transformation, process improvement and stronger governance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to use data and market intelligence to drive decisions.
  • Experience working across large, complex organisations and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
  • The confidence and resilience to operate in an environment undergoing significant change.

Experience managing categories such as enterprise software, SaaS, cloud, IT services, professional services or major technology platforms would be highly advantageous.
