Trainee Accountant – 3-Year Fixed Term Contract

Our client, a global financial services company, is seeking a Trainee Accountant to join their Dublin-based finance team on a 3-year fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to develop their skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that offers strong mentorship and exposure across financial operations.

Your Role
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
- Support variance analysis and provide insights on performance versus budget.
- Manage day-to-day interactions with brokers, clients, and internal departments to resolve queries.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations, ensuring all entries are properly supported and accurate.
- Collaborate with treasury colleagues to ensure transactions are settled efficiently and liquidity is maintained.
- Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with reporting standards.
- Support internal and external audits by providing relevant financial information and analysis.
Your Skills
- Trainee accountant actively pursuing ACCA or CIMA.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability with excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive and well-organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SAP experience an advantage.
- Experience within insurance or financial services would be beneficial but not essential.
- Team player with a self-motivated approach and strong problem-solving ability.
