The rate of male employment stands at 6.7% whereas the rate of female unemployment fell to 5.1%. In numerical terms, there are currently 80,300 males and 51,000 females on the live register. Youth unemployment (15-24 years) has fallen significantly from 14.7% in September to 14% in October.
The Irish economy continues to prosper despite the external threats of the impending ramifications of Brexit and US plans to repatriate profits from US companies based overseas.
