As part of Abrivias partnership with Aware to promote positive mental attitude in the workplace, MD of Abrivia, Donal O’ Brien, made the first quarterly cheque presentation to Drew Flood, business development manager for the mental health charity, Aware.
Every time Abrivia gets a person a job they make a contribution to Aware. Separate from this initiative the staff of Abrivia participated in the Grant Thornton Fingal 5K challenge in aid of Aware. The staff also banded together to organise other fundraising efforts such as a company bake-off, the Harbour to Harbour Walk, an evening with Bobby Kerr and by making voluntary monthly contributions to Aware on a monthly basis. Abrivia will also be attending Aware’s 30th anniversary in the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, Dublin 4 on October 3rd 2015.
Speaking at the presentation, MD of Abrivia Donal O’ Brien explained why Abrivia were very proud to be supporting Aware in their tireless endeavours to promote positive mental attitude in the workplace and improving the general mental wellbeing of the entire nation.
In response, Drew Flood, business development manager for Aware stated that he was delighted with the level of support and engagement from Abrivia, which was not only confined to fundraising, which of course is extremely important but also included a series of collaborative blogs dealing with mental health issues for jobseekers at each stage of the process and a mental health seminar for 100 HR managers, organised by Abrivia which will include a talk from rugby legend, Brent Pope and esteemed psychologist, Dr. Claire Hayes.
Abrivia will also be participating shortly in Aware’s highly commended Wellness at Work Programme.
Over the period of 12 months Abrivia has committed to raise over €10,000 for this very worthy cause.
