21% of marketeers based outside of Dublin feel the same in regards moving to Dublin whereas 20% in the Legal profession display the very strong reluctance to move. The same applies to those in the Consultancy sector where 20% of consultants are committed to remaining outside of the capital.
17% of ICT professionals wish to remain outside of Dublin regardless of the salary boost they may receive by moving to Dublin. 14% in the Insurance, Compliance and Risk sector have ruled out a move to Dublin. 18% of sales professionals wish to remain outside of Dublin and 12.5% of Office Support employees feel the same way.
Dublin, despite a raft of high paying opportunities, is still a no-go location for approximately a fifth of employees who reside outside of Dublin. This could be due to multiple reasons apart from salary, such as perceptions around work-life balance and the general affordability of housing. Dublin based employers, rather than focussing on the negatives, should note that 80% of employees are still prepared to move to Dublin given the right salary.
