Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Claims Associate-Energy to join our client, a specialist broker operating across the renewables, power, and energy sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their insurance career to step into a highly specialised and international environment. The role offers strong exposure to complex, high-value claims and clear long-term progression into a more senior Claims Advocate position.
This role combines hands-on claims experience with strong client exposure and offers significant scope for development as the function continues to grow. Over time, the successful candidate will take on greater ownership of client relationships and more complex claims, progressing towards a senior advocacy position.
Your Role
- Support the handling of claims across energy and renewables portfolios including wind farms, oil and gas, and power generation
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing guidance and support throughout the claims process
- Assist clients in understanding policy coverage and navigating claims from notification through to settlement
- Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, and internal account executives to progress claims efficiently
- Build strong working relationships with insurer panels and external partners
- Manage and track claim documentation, updates, and outstanding actions
- Support the handling of large and technically complex losses, often involving multiple insurers
- Contribute to client reporting, updates, and general claims communication
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to develop technical knowledge of energy claims over time
- Take a proactive approach to problem solving and claims progression
Your Skills
- 1-3 years’ experience in claims or insurance, ideally with exposure to the claim’s lifecycle
- Understanding of the roles of insurers, brokers, and loss adjusters within a claim
- Comfortable dealing with clients and building trusted relationships
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Good attention to detail across documentation and processes
- Clear and professional communication skills
- A proactive mindset with the confidence to follow up and drive outcomes
- Interest in developing technical knowledge within the energy and renewables sector
- Ability to work collaboratively across internal teams and external stakeholders
