Job Title: Claims Handler
Location: Dublin
Working Model: Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office
Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Claims Handler to join our client within the insurance sector. This is a varied position offering exposure to a European claims portfolio, combining claims management with data analysis, third-party oversight and ongoing process improvement.
The successful candidate will join a small claims team and work across a diverse range of insurance products. This opportunity would suit someone with commercial insurance experience who is detail-focused, comfortable working with data and keen to continue developing their technical claims knowledge.
Your Role
- Manage and support a varied portfolio of claims across European markets, ensuring cases are progressed accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise with brokers, loss adjusters, external claims handlers, solicitors and other third-party stakeholders.
- Review claims information and documentation, ensuring files and supporting data are complete and accurate.
- Prepare and validate claims bordereaux, identifying missing information and maintaining high standards of data quality.
- Work with internal teams and external partners to improve claims processes, monitoring and operational efficiency.
- Support the oversight and audit of third-party claims providers and assist with wider claims governance activities.
- Contribute to system enhancements, process improvements and the continued development of the claims function.
Your Skills
- APA qualification in Commercial Insurance is required, with CIP qualification or progress towards this advantageous.
- Previous experience within claims, claims operations or the wider insurance sector.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work confidently with data, filters and spreadsheets; knowledge of Pivot Tables would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to reviewing claims information and data.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities without compromising accuracy.
- Analytical and logical approach with a willingness to learn and further develop technical insurance knowledge.
- Comfortable working within a small team and taking ownership of responsibilities.
