Finance Business Partner (FTC)
Location: North Dublin (Hybrid)
Salary: €70,000 – €75,000
A well-established organisation is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join its finance team on an 18-month fixed-term contract covering a maternity leave. This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant to play a central role in budgeting, forecasting, performance management and investment governance, supporting a significant programme of business change and investment over the coming years. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, in a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Your Role
- Build strong working relationships across the organisation, sharing knowledge and best practice
- Own budgets, forecasts and business plans across both Capital and Operating Expenditure for your business areas
- Provide robust financial assessment of investment proposals, evaluating costs, benefits and risks, and ensuring consistency of assumptions and methodology
- Manage the full pipeline of project and programme spend across your area of responsibility
- Act as Finance Business Partner to senior management and leadership stakeholders
- Identify and track cost reduction opportunities, partnering with functional management to implement synergies
- Support the monthly capitalisation process, ensuring accurate capitalisation of resources and liaising with project managers on queries and reporting
- Work cross-functionally to track initiatives and benefits, preparing reports for senior stakeholders
- Lead the review and challenge of business case benefits to ensure alignment with strategic targets and KPIs
- Drive continuous improvement, proactively seeking feedback and identifying new opportunities for efficiency
Your Skills
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), ideally with 2 years’ post-qualification experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and presentation ability
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently meet deadlines
- A continuous improvement mindset within your area of responsibility
- Strong proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite and general IT systems
- Solid accounting background within a finance function or group reporting environment
- Experience with reporting tools such as Hyperion, Cognos or similar
- Working knowledge of an ERP system such as SAP or Oracle
