Are you a Finnish-speaking team lead (or senior specialist ready to step up) who enjoys being close to the work while building a strong, motivated team?

We’re partnering with a well-established international financial services company that supports long-term savings, pensions and investment products for Nordic customers. They are looking for a Team Lead to take ownership of their Finnish Operations Team in Dublin – a highly experienced, close-knit group that plays a critical role in delivering excellent service across Finland.

This is not a “hands-off” management role. You will be part of the operation, working alongside the team while also setting direction, supporting people and driving quality.

Why this role is interesting

This team works with complex, high-value life insurance and investment products for Finnish clients. You will be working with internal sales teams, tied agents, banks and investment partners in Finland – helping ensure that everything from new business through to ongoing policy servicing runs smoothly.

The team itself is very stable and experienced, which makes this role about leading professionals, not firefighting. Your job will be to keep standards high, support continuous improvement and create an environment where people feel confident, supported and accountable.

What you’ll actually be doing

In practice, this means you will:

  • Be the go-to person for the Finnish team – coaching, guiding and supporting people day to day
  • Keep workloads balanced, deadlines under control and service levels on track
  • Step in when things are complex, unclear or urgent
  • Make sure communication flows well between your team and Sales, Dealing, AML and other departments
  • Spot where things could work better and help turn those ideas into improvements
  • Act as a trusted partner to the Operations Manager

You will be close to the detail but focused on the bigger picture: performance, quality, engagement and delivery.

Who this suits

This role would suit someone who:

  • Speaks Finnish fluently and is comfortable working in English in an international environment
  • Comes from financial services – ideally insurance, pensions, investments, banking or AML
  • Has already led a team or is a strong senior specialist who has been coaching others, leading projects or acting as a deputy
  • Enjoys solving problems, organising work and helping people succeed
  • Is calm, fair and confident when things get busy

You don’t need to be a “big corporate manager” – this is about practical leadership, clear communication and earning the team’s trust.
