People Governance & Insights Specialist – Financial Services

Job Details

Description:

Job Title: People Governance & Insights Specialist – Financial Services

Location: Dublin City Centre (Hybrid Working)
Contract: 12-14 Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: Attractive salary & bonus + very strong benefits.

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading organisation within the financial services sector to appoint a People Governance & Insights Specialist. This is a key role within the HR function, offering the opportunity to work at the intersection of people governance, regulatory compliance, and business-focused insights.

This position is a maternity leave cover with a strong handover period and exposure to senior stakeholders. It would suit someone who enjoys working in a structured, regulated environment, with a focus on process improvement, governance, and translating business needs into meaningful reporting and insights.

About the Role

This is a varied and business-facing role with two core areas of responsibility:

People Governance & Regulatory Oversight

  • Support and oversee people-related governance processes within a regulated financial services environment
  • Ensure compliance with relevant frameworks (e.g. regulatory standards, data protection, audit requirements)
  • Work closely with Compliance and Data Protection teams on governance-related matters
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring alignment with regulatory and internal requirements
  • Support governance processes related to new hires, certifications, and role requirements
  • Contribute to audits and ensure all documentation and processes are robust and well-controlled

People Insights, Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Produce regular people reports and dashboards to support business decision-making
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate these into practical, usable outputs
  • Ensure data integrity across HR systems, identifying and resolving inconsistencies
  • Review and improve existing processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and better data capture
  • Support ongoing enhancements to HR systems and reporting capabilities
  • Contribute to projects and initiatives from a people and governance perspective

About You

  • Experience in a governance, compliance, HR operations, or business analyst-type role, ideally within financial services or another regulated environment
  • Understanding of working within regulatory frameworks (e.g. Central Bank, GDPR, audit environments)
  • Strong process mindset with the ability to review, improve, and implement structured ways of working
  • Experience producing reports or dashboards, with the ability to translate data into clear, business-relevant insights
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders across different functions, including senior leadership
  • High attention to detail with a proactive and organised approach

Important to Note

  • This is not a pure data analytics role – the focus is on governance, process, and business-facing insights rather than technical data modelling
  • You do not need a traditional HR background, but an understanding of HR processes and sensitivity to people data is important
  • Experience in a regulated or compliance-driven environment is highly desirable

What’s on Offer

  • A highly visible role with exposure to senior stakeholders
  • The opportunity to work across governance, reporting, and strategic initiatives
  • A collaborative and supportive team environment
  • Hybrid working model (initial on-site presence required for onboarding and handover)

Next Steps

If you are interested in a role that combines governance, process improvement, and people insights within a financial services environment, please apply with your CV.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted with further details.
