Job Title: Pricing Underwriter

Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Pricing Underwriter to join our client based in South Dublin. This role will suit someone from an analytical or technical insurance background who is interested in developing their career within pricing and underwriting.
Candidates can come from Non-Life, Life or another analytical insurance discipline , the emphasis is on the individual rather than a highly technical pricing background.
This is a developing role that will evolve over time, offering exposure to pricing strategy, portfolio analysis and collaboration with international markets.
Your Role
- Analyse premium and claims trends, including inflation impacts, to support pricing decisions.
- Support the renewal pricing process, including proposing pricing for upcoming renewals across multiple markets.
- Work with internal stakeholders and international teams to review and agree pricing on a programme or client basis.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of pricing structures, including more risk-based and dynamic pricing approaches.
- Assist with analysis around emerging trends, including vehicle-related impacts such as electric vehicles.
- Work closely with underwriting colleagues, providing analytical insight to support commercial decision-making.
- Engage confidently with stakeholders, clearly explaining analysis and standing over pricing recommendations.
- Support the development of the data and analytical capability within the pricing function.
- The role will continue to change and develop as the pricing framework evolves.
Your Skills
- Experience in an analytical, pricing, underwriting or actuarial-type role within Insurance.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with an interest in pricing and data.
- Insurance experience across Life, Non-Life or another insurance discipline.
- Ability to translate data into clear, practical recommendations.
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with stakeholders across different countries.
- Commercially aware with a proactive and curious approach.
- Organised, adaptable and comfortable in a role that will evolve over time.
