Job Title: Property Claims Lead-Reinsurance

Abrivia are currently recruiting for Property Claims Lead-Reinsurance to join our client, a leading global reinsurance business with a significant and growing presence in Dublin.
This is a senior position within a high-performing and expanding reinsurance platform that has experienced substantial growth in recent years. The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of Property claims activity across international portfolios, working closely with underwriting, reserving and senior leadership teams on large and complex losses.
The successful candidate will operate at the centre of key decision-making, particularly around major loss events and portfolio performance.
Your Role
- Take the lead on Property claims across a global reinsurance portfolio, with a focus on large and complex losses
- Manage major loss events, including catastrophe-related claims, ensuring accurate analysis, reporting and communication
- Act as a key point of contact between claims, underwriting and reserving teams on claim developments and financial exposure
- Work closely with underwriting teams to support renewal discussions, pricing decisions and profitability analysis
- Provide insight into claims trends and loss development to support broader portfolio strategy
- Engage with senior stakeholders across multiple regions, contributing to key internal discussions and decision-making
- Support the coordination and communication of major claims activity across international offices
- Use data and analytics to support reporting, forecasting and overall claims performance
Your Skills
- Proven experience handling high-value Property claims within insurance or reinsurance
- Strong exposure to large loss claims, ideally including catastrophe-related events
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide clear insights
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with data on a daily basis
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of claims impact on underwriting and profitability
- Reinsurance experience is desirable but strong insurance candidates will also be considered
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, international environment with a high level of responsibility
