Job Title: Commercial Account Executive
Location: Drogheda
Working Model: Hybrid – 3 days in the office
Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Commercial Account Executive to join our client, an established insurance brokerage based in Drogheda.
This role would suit an experienced commercial insurance professional who enjoys working directly with clients and is comfortable managing an existing book. You will take ownership of an established portfolio, with approximately 40-50 renewals, while following up on new leads and building relationships with commercial clients.
Your Role
- Manage an existing portfolio of commercial clients, including approximately 40-50 renewals
- Meet and engage with clients to understand their insurance requirements and provide appropriate cover
- Develop new business opportunities through leads generated by the business
- Handle renewals, new business and mid-term adjustments from initial enquiry through to completion
- Work across a range of commercial risks, particularly tradesmen and SME business
- Manage policies ranging from approximately €500 to €10,000 in premium
- Work with insurers to negotiate terms and secure suitable cover for clients
- Support the wider commercial team and provide account cover when required
- Maintain strong relationships with both clients and insurance providers
Your Skills
- Previous experience in commercial general insurance
- CIP qualified or Grandfathered
- Experience dealing with tradesmen and SME commercial risks
- Strong client-facing skills with the confidence to meet customers and develop relationships
- Experience with property owners insurance would be beneficial
- Exposure to commercial fleet would be an advantage
- Knowledge of Professional Indemnity and Cyber insurance would also be beneficial
- Comfortable managing both an existing book of business and new business opportunities
- Good organisation skills with the ability to manage renewals and client requirements independently
- Relay experience would be an advantage
