Head of Sales – Building Materials & Interiors

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Sales to join a well-established business within the kitchens and interiors sector.
This is a senior commercial leadership role with responsibility for driving sales performance across a multi-site network, strengthening leadership capability and embedding a high-performance sales culture.
The preference is for someone with strong experience within kitchens or a closely related industry, combined with proven multi-site sales leadership experience.
The Role
You will take ownership of the overall sales strategy and performance across the business, working closely with branch managers and sales teams to improve sales, margin, customer experience and team performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive sales and margin performance across multiple locations and sales teams.
- Develop and implement the overall sales strategy.
- Set clear KPIs, targets and performance standards.
- Build a strong sales culture with clear accountability.
- Coach and develop branch managers and sales teams.
- Improve sales processes across enquiries, leads, quoting, pricing and CRM activity.
- Support the continued development of the retail customer proposition.
- Work closely with Category Management, Operations, Marketing and Customer Experience.
- Monitor competitor activity, product developments and market trends.
- Maintain a regular presence across branch and showroom locations.
The Person
You will be an experienced sales leader with strong commercial and people management capability.
You should have:
- 5+ years’ experience within kitchens, interiors, building materials or a similar industry.
- 5+ years’ proven experience in a senior sales management/ leadership role.
- Experience leading multi-site teams or managing through branch/ sales managers.
- A track record of delivering sales and margin growth.
- Strong leadership, coaching and performance management skills.
- Experience implementing KPIs and sales standards.
- Strong commercial, analytical and strategic planning ability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
