Job Title: Reinsurance Broking Executive

Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Reinsurance Broking Executive to join our client, a specialised insurance and reinsurance broker.
This role offers an opportunity to move into facultative reinsurance and gain exposure to placements across European insurance and reinsurance markets. It would suit someone with insurance experience who enjoys working with clients, markets and internal teams and wants to apply that experience in a more specialised, international environment.
Candidates from commercial broking, account handling, underwriting support, policy servicing or relevant claims backgrounds will be considered and previous facultative reinsurance experience is not essential.
Your Role:
- Support facultative reinsurance placements across European insurance and reinsurance markets
- Liaise with market contacts, client executives and internal teams throughout the placement process
- Prepare and coordinate information and documentation required for placements
- Assist with the preparation and progression of slips, endorsements and related documentation
- Follow up on market responses and help keep placements moving within agreed deadlines
- Coordinate information between clients, brokers and markets as required
- Support the ongoing servicing and administration of client programmes
- Assist the wider broking team with day-to-day placement and client requirements
Your Skills:
- Approximately 2 years or more of relevant experience within the insurance industry
- Experience in commercial broking, account handling, underwriting support, policy servicing, claims or a similar insurance position
- A good understanding of insurance processes and documentation
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with a range of contacts
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with placement information
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple pieces of work
- A collaborative approach and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, markets and colleagues
- An interest in developing existing insurance experience within facultative reinsurance and European markets
