Finance Manager wanted for Investment Reporting Team-Dublin City
Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join our client, a Global Reinsurance Group, as they look to expand and grow the division. The role will report directly into the Investment Reporting Manager.
The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Accountant and will have experience working within an Investment Environment ideally or within the wider Insurance/Financial Services market. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the worlds largest Insurance groups as they grow and develop the division in Dublin.
Your Role:
- Evaluate Solvency II Investment QRTs and NSTs for both quarterly and annual regulatory submissions.
- Compile quarterly packs for the Investment Committee, incorporating a thorough examination of asset manager reports.
- Analyse outputs from the investment management system.
- Organise and assess monthly journal entries submitted by trainee accountants.
- Scrutinise investment reporting packs for clients.
- Examine and ensure compliance with investment mandates and policies.
- Generate monthly and quarterly management reports, incorporating variance analysis.
- Conduct an annual review and update of investment policies, mandates, and Investment Committee Terms of Reference.
- Contribute to the development and understanding of new investment asset classes within the group.
- Provide support to actuarial colleagues regarding the recording and reporting of both existing and new investments.
- Foster an effective relationship with the asset manager and asset administration providers.
Your Skills:
- A certified accountant with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Possesses a robust academic background, holding a degree in a numerical discipline such as Accountancy, Statistics, or Economics.
- Advantageous to have relevant financial experience in an investment setting.
- Demonstrates proficient knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint); SAP experience is an asset.
- Exhibits well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and adept problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of planning work, efficiently managing time, and ensuring the timely completion of all deliverables.
- Self-motivated and able to work assertively, both independently and collaboratively within and across teams.
