Position: German Compliance & Risk Executive
Location: Dublin City Centre (hybrid)
Salary Range: DOE incl. bonus + benefits

Abrivia Recruitment has an exciting opportunity within the financial services industry for a German Compliance & Risk Executive. This role involves investigating the way an organization is run, see the big picture, identify and prepare for any potential future harm such as risk causes, loss of money, employees, and even safety.
This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a company and develop your career with an international based team within Ireland and Germany including travel between the offices as needed. In your role you will work within the risk team working closely across numerous teams supporting the implementation of key risk requirements and monitoring current risks ensuring that the company meet regulatory obligations. In this role you will enable the company to continue to meet its legal and regulatory obligations.
Responsibilities of the Role:
- You will play a key role in ensuring the company adhere to financial security regulations and compliance standards.
- Assist in the implementation of risk management initiatives and contribute to the ongoing improvement of risk management processes.
- Reviewing the incidents, their financial impact, deep investigating into the root cause and analysing data.
- Completing Risk Assessments and reporting on key risks.
- Ensuring implementation and maintenance of, and compliance with, all compliance related policies, guidelines, and procedures, including the development of training programmes
- Supporting the compliance team with administration across the business.
- Ensuring that the company systems are always updated and compliant.
- Supporting the Compliance team in maintaining and documenting all team procedures
- Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business both in Ireland and Germany.
- Supporting with the development of risk and compliance structures across the business and project managing the companies approach to all regulatory obligations.
- Assisting in the coordination of the company’s privacy, data protection, bribery and anti-corruption procedures and SOP’s.
- Acting as an ambassador and ensuring there is strong awareness across the company regarding company obligations regarding compliance.
Requirements for the Role:
- Full fluency in English and German both verbal and written.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field desirable
- Ideally experience in an administration, compliance, risk management role in the Insurance/Financial Services area.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively key stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and assess potential risks.
- Strong knowledge of operational risk management principles, methodologies, and frameworks.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ideally proven ability to apply legal and regulatory requirements to SOP’s across the business. - Ability to undergo business travel between Ireland and Germany offices on a quarterly basis.
