Our client, a leading Furniture Manufacturer are seeking to add a Head of Sales & Marketing to strategically lead their Commercial team as the business enters a period of growth.
The Head of Sales & Marketing will be required to lead the sales team in driving sales performance, setting strategic goals and ensuring the team achieves revenue targets.
The successful candidate has a vital role in developing and implementing effective sales strategies through strategic marketing initiatives, developing strong customer relationships, and implementing effective sales strategies while fostering a positive and high-performing team culture.
The skills and experience to drive a sales team is imperative to drive the organisation’s growth, through analysing sales data, providing training, and collaborating with other departments to enhance overall organisational success.
This role requires a creative thinker with excellent communication skills and a passion for exceeding targets.
Your Role:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share.
- Provide guidance to the Sales & Marketing team to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the Sales & Marketing team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
- Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure that products and services recommended to retail clients are suitable and appropriate based on their financial situation, risk tolerance, and investment objectives.
- Implement processes and controls to assess and document the suitability of recommendations.
- Oversee the resolution of client complaints related to retail sales activities, ensuring timely and fair resolution.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to customer satisfaction and business objectives.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Recruit, train, and onboard new sales team members.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
- Monitor and report on sales team performance through regular KPI tracking.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market changes.
- Foster a positive and results-oriented work environment.
Your Skills:
- 5+ years commercial lead experience, leading a Sales & Marketing team, ideally within/ related to Furniture Manufacturing, Hospitality or Retail.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of the furniture manufacturing industry and market trends.
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
