Job Title: Multi Line Underwriter

Underwriter wanted for Global Insurer working on Multi Line Business-Dublin City Centre
Abrivia are currently working with one of the largest Insurance Companies in the world for a role based in their Dublin City Office. This role will work on multi line business including Property, Liability and Cyber and will suit someone coming from a background in Underwriting or Broking.
The ideal candidate will have 3 years’ experience in one of the above lines of business but more importantly will be interested and willing to pick up and learn new lines of business. The role will be 3 days a week in the office and comes with an excellent salary and benefits package:
Your Role:
- Delivering presentations on the quote and our offerings to brokers and clients
- Managing the existing portfolio, aiming to achieve the agreed targets for growth, retention, pricing, and loss ratios across all lines of business.
- Establishing and nurturing professional relationships with clients, with approval from the broker Account Director/Executive.
- Recognising the significance of a strong client relationship involving three key components: the client, the broker, and the insurer.
- Ensuring adherence to the Underwriting Guide and referral procedures to meet underwriting authority and audit requirements.
- Adhering to company standards for accurate policy documentation, timely premium debiting, and compliance with regulatory standards for contract certainty by month-end close.
- Achieving portfolio product line objectives, encompassing targets for growth, retention, pricing, and loss ratios in each line of business.
- Collaborating in the formulation of underwriting strategy, forecasts, and portfolio management to attain underwriting profitability.
- Handling business originating from brokers in Ireland and Northern Ireland, while actively fostering relationships with key providers and building lasting broker connections.
- Demonstrating strategic planning, proactivity, initiative, and effective communication as essential attributes
Your Skills:
- Minimum CIP qualified or Grandfathered.
- Demonstrates a profound understanding and practical knowledge of specialist product lines, the insurance market, and competitors.
- Possesses a track record of engaging with brokers and clients effectively.
- Driven by results, capable of making independent decisions, and proactive in working on individual initiatives.
- Underwriting professional with a well-established reputation.
- Exhibits robust technical expertise in Property & Liability and/or Professional Indemnity (PI)/Cyber.
- Can showcase a history of a strong work ethic and dedication to excellence.
- Committed to working within the guidelines of established authority.
