Job Title: 3-Axis CNC Mill Operator / Machinist
Location: Dublin
Salary: DOE + Bonus + Benefits
Fully onsite, finishing early on Fridays
At a glance
A well-established Irish precision engineering manufacturer is looking for an experienced CNC machinist to run 3-axis milling machines in a busy, quality-driven workshop. You’ll own the job from setup to inspection, and you’ll be part of a close team that values accuracy and continuous improvement.
What the job involves
You’ll set up and run 3-axis CNC milling machines to produce precision components from engineering drawings and specifications. That includes fitting tooling, setting work and tool offsets, and choosing the right cutters, speeds, feeds and machining strategies for each job. You’ll load and check programs and make small edits when needed.
Quality is central to the role. You’ll inspect first-offs and check parts during production with verniers, micrometers and height gauges, hold tight tolerances consistently, and deal with any machining issues before they affect output. Parts are deburred and finished to standard, and you’ll keep production and quality records accurate.
You’ll also carry out routine machine checks, keep your area clean and safe, follow all company safety, quality and manufacturing procedures, and work closely with the production, engineering and quality teams.
