AccountsIQ Implementation Project Lead

Job Details

Description:

AccountsIQ Implementation Project Lead – 3-6 Month Contract
Location: Dublin 4, Dublin
Type: Full-time | Contract

Abrivia Recruitment is partnering with a high-profile organisation to recruit an AccountsIQ Implementation Project Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance systems professional to join a well-established organisation and lead a critical finance transformation project.

The successful candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will take ownership of the implementation of AccountsIQ, replacing the organisation’s existing Sage 50 accounting platform. The role involves a mix of hands-on finance systems work, project leadership and strategic input.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of the AccountsIQ implementation.

  • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan covering milestones, responsibilities, dependencies and deadlines.

  • Work closely with the CFO, finance team, AccountsIQ implementation representatives and internal stakeholders.

  • Review existing Sage 50 processes, reporting requirements, accounting controls and workflows.

  • Gather and document requirements from finance and non-finance stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve existing finance processes.

  • Translate operational and financial requirements into an effective AccountsIQ system design.

  • Support the configuration of the chart of accounts, reporting dimensions, coding structures, dashboards and approval workflows.

  • Coordinate relevant system integrations and data feeds.

  • Plan and manage the extraction, cleansing, mapping and migration of financial data from Sage 50.

  • Reconcile migrated data to the source system and maintain a clear audit trail of migration decisions and approvals.

  • Develop and coordinate system testing, process testing and user-acceptance testing.

  • Confirm that approval workflows, user permissions and financial controls operate as intended.

  • Prepare process documentation, user guides and training materials.

  • Deliver training to finance and non-finance users.

  • Coordinate go-live planning, final data migration, cut-off procedures and opening-balance validation.

  • Provide hands-on support during go-live and the first reporting or month-end cycle.

  • Prepare a structured handover for the CFO and permanent finance team.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience implementing AccountsIQ within a finance function.

  • Strong knowledge of finance processes, accounting controls and management reporting.

  • Experience working with charts of accounts, nominal ledgers, cost centres, reporting dimensions and approval workflows.

  • Practical experience in financial data extraction, cleansing, mapping, migration and reconciliation.

  • Experience coordinating user-acceptance testing and resolving finance systems issues.

  • Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with finance professionals, operational stakeholders and software providers.

  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of an implementation project.

  • Strong attention to detail, organisation and problem-solving skills.

  • A practical, delivery-focused approach to systems implementation and change management.

Desirable:

  • Direct experience migrating a finance function from Sage 50 to AccountsIQ.

  • Experience migrating from another accounting or ERP platform into AccountsIQ.

  • A recognised accounting, finance, project management or systems qualification.

  • Experience supporting a finance team through go-live and its first month-end cycle on a new system.

Benefits:

  • Initial contract term of approximately three to six months.

  • Opportunity to lead a business-critical finance transformation project.

  • Direct engagement with the CFO and senior stakeholders.

  • Hands-on responsibility across the full implementation lifecycle.

  • Exposure to a high-profile organisation in the sports and events sector.
