Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Senior Broker Development Executive to join a leading commercial insurance organisation.
This is a senior relationship management and distribution role focused on developing key broker partnerships across the Dublin and Leinster market. The successful candidate will take ownership of a portfolio of strategic broker relationships, driving retention, profitable growth and long-term engagement across commercial insurance lines.
Working closely with brokers, underwriting teams and senior stakeholders, this role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the continued growth of an established commercial insurance business.
Your Role
- Manage and develop relationships with a panel of key commercial and corporate brokers across Leinster
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned broker partners, building strong and lasting relationships
- Drive portfolio retention and profitable growth through effective broker engagement and account development
- Develop and implement broker business plans aligned with commercial objectives
- Conduct regular broker review meetings, monitoring performance and identifying growth opportunities
- Work closely with underwriting teams to maximise opportunities across commercial insurance portfolios
- Support the development of larger corporate and multinational insurance opportunities
- Analyse portfolio and broker performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities
- Provide market intelligence and broker feedback to support business planning and decision-making
- Represent the organisation within the broker market, maintaining strong visibility and engagement
Your Skills
- 7+ years’ experience within commercial insurance
- Strong understanding of the Irish commercial insurance market
- Experience working with corporate brokers and larger commercial risks
- Background in corporate broking, commercial underwriting, broker development or insurer relationship management
- Broad knowledge of commercial insurance products and market dynamics
- Proven ability to build, manage and develop strategic broker relationships
- Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially focused with a strong understanding of portfolio performance and profitability
- Experience analysing performance data and using insights to drive business outcomes
- CIP qualification or equivalent insurance qualification preferred
- Full driving licence required
