Trainee Accountant – Finance Operations & Reporting
Location: Dublin City Centre

Our client operates within a regulated financial services environment, with a finance team responsible for delivering reporting, controls, and operational finance activities across the business.
They are now looking to hire a Trainee Accountant to join a structured finance team. This role will provide hands-on exposure across core finance processes while supporting professional exams, making it a strong opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in accountancy within a corporate setting.
Your Role
- Support daily finance operations, including processing and monitoring transactions
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
- Contribute to cash and account reconciliations across multiple areas
- Support month-end and period-end reporting activities
- Assist with preparation of financial reporting and audit deliverables
- Monitor and manage shared finance inboxes, responding to queries where required
- Work closely with internal teams to resolve finance-related queries
- Support compliance and reporting requirements across different jurisdictions
- Assist with ongoing improvements in processes and controls
- Gain exposure to wider finance activities through ad hoc tasks and project work
Your Skills
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline
- 1+ year experience in a finance or corporate environment
- Strong Excel and general Microsoft Office skills
- High attention to detail and strong numerical ability
- Good communication skills and ability to work with different teams
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Motivated to pursue a professional accounting qualification
- Strong work ethic with a proactive and positive approach
